The Nova Scotia Demand Express Entry program opened and quickly closed this week when a surge of interest crashed the government’s online application system. Provincial officials declined to reveal which parts of the program opened, how they notified the public that the program was open or how many applications they accepted.
The confusion came one week after the provincial government said it would soon re-open the popular Category B of the immigration program. That category offers a path to permanent residency for people in 16 different occupations.
Officials said they expect Nova Scotia Demand to re-open in coming weeks.
