Ontario has closed its immigration program for the year, but students who already filed an application will be processed in 2018.
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program has reached its limit for nominations, with 6,000 nominated candidates in 2017. Candidates can apply through eight streams under the program, including the International Masters Graduate stream and the International PhD Graduate stream, which caters to international students.
The two student streams offer a path to permanent resident to Ontario graduates who don’t have a job offer or any work experience.
Candidates who have submitted a paid application to the program will still be processed, and nominated in 2018 if the application is approved.
